Hello, friends and family! Carissa and I arrived safely in Guadalajara on time last night. Since apparently not many other people were crazy enough to fly into Mexico at 11:15pm, Customs was incredibly short and painless. We got our passports stamped by a bored young women who didn’t even look at me, found our bags immediately, and got green lights (meaning no baggage search). Like last time I came to Mexico, one of the officials read my first and middle names off of my passport with appreciation (thanks, Mom).
Chadd brought us back to the house, where we met Nancy and went to bed pretty quickly. I slept well, but here’s the bad news….
This morning I woke up sick! I started to get a sore throat on the plane last night, but I hoped it was just the dry air. No such luck. This morning I feel like I have a mild case of strep throat (I’m sure it’s not, but that’s a reference point for you), and I threw up as soon as I got up. Nancy said it felt like I have a fever, so she told me to lie down again and she made me some chamomile tea and gave me some ibuprofen. So I guess the silver lining is that no matter what happens, I will be well taken care of by these wonderful, godly people!
I’m really excited about being here, but it doesn’t look like I’ll get around to doing much today. Pray that I get better! I really don’t want to be sick!
I love all of you!!!

Oh, Marcella... I sure wish I could be there to take care of you! But I'm glad you have loving people around you. We're in Fort Worth at a hotel, and I brought the blog up for Grandma and Aunt Margaret to read this morning.
Marissa, I was SO grateful for the e-mail. I just felt SURE you were alive, but it was nice to hear for sure. LOL Enjoy Bangkok! Take pictures!
And Marcella, I'll be praying you get well soon. I love you both!

Grandma and Aunt Margaret are telling me what to write:
We are glad you arrived safely. Take lots of pictures. We will read your blog. Take care! Is that okay? It's fine (answered Aunt Margaret).
Love, Grandma and AuntMargaret
